At DCA we are about Mastery, not finishing without complete understanding. Children learn to redo an assignment they didn’t fully understand.
Research & Presentation
We believe in research and presentation. It’s a great advantage for your child to be able to stand his ground in a debate.
Hands-on Projects
When a child does something himself it builds confidence and a deeper level of learning and retention.
3:1 Student Teacher Ratio
We keep a 3:1 student/teacher ratio to ensure each student gets the support they need. In addition, our volunteers offer one on one tutoring support.
Individualized Curriculum - Miacademy
At Destiny Christian Academy we use Miacademy, which allows each child to have an individualized core curriculum.
In addition our students engage in weekly group activities like art, gardening, service opportunities and more. We also take time daily to read together, discuss, journal, draw, and do projects that develop a child’s sense of wonder.
